Ten years ago, eight Brothers met for a casual dinner in Glendale. The dinner was so delightful, that the original eight decided to do it every month; every month inviting their friends to join in for the dinner
gathering, and so began the group. After a few months of doing this they decided to call this small group of brothers ‘The Masonic Round Table’. They invited guest speakers to come and speak for their enlightenment.
From this moment, ‘The Masonic
Round Table’ grew in its numbers, eventually as high
as 128 members, on their roster of guests who would regularly attend the monthly dinner gatherings.
Attendance ran from 40 to 80 Brethren depending on the guest speaker(s) for the month. Eventually, they outgrew the restaurant and started meeting in an
upscale banquet hall in Burbank, California.
We heard lectures on everything from the Masonic Homes and the Midnight Mission, to questions of Masonic history and symbolism, as well as, socializing
and discussing masonic topics.
We are grateful to Most Worshipful Stuart Wright and the Very Worshipful Allan Casalou as well as many members of the Grand Lodge Family for helping us reach our goal. We deeply indebted for their support in assisting our transition
from a dinner club to a Masonic Lodge.
